Hi Jeff - I'm as software developer and generally do my own installs but I took the advice of my desktop support guys who said to point my Quick Launch shortcut to nlnotes.exe rather than notes.exe because notes.exe starts up horribly slowly and has a heavier footprint.
When I start with notes.exe I see the additional functionality. Looks like nlnotes.exe is the really basic client stuff running inside the window of notes.exe which has all the neat stuff.
For the general user they're probably right to suggest nlnotes, but I'm not the general user.
